About Us

LINK is an international program between students in Canada including international students, and students of Keio University. The project is held every year in July.

Our goal is to shape international exchange. Through the program, we aim to understand and share each other 's culture and way of thinking.

LINK is run by students who belong to I.I.R. (Institute of International Relations), an official welfare organization in Keio University. I.I.R. was founded in 1956 when the international program between Keio University and UBC was started. As a public welfare organization, I.I.R. provides various activities to broaden students’ horizons by experiencing international exchange under the financial support of Keio University, and it has partnerships with more than 30 student organizations all over the world.

We will introduce messages from LINK members!

Sota Kusaba - Project Leader of 2026 LINK

Hello, my name is Sota Kusaba, and I am the president of LINK.

LINK is an organization that creates opportunities for people to engage with Japan and connect with its culture and people.

I believe that LINK plays an important role as a bridge between Japan and the world. Through our programs, I hope you will gain a deeper understanding of Japan—something that cannot be fully experienced through travel alone.

At the same time, this exchange is not one-sided. It is also a valuable opportunity for Japanese students to broaden their global perspectives by learning from your diverse values and experiences.

Our programs are carefully designed to help you fully experience what Japan has to offer, and our members are committed to creating a welcoming and meaningful environment for everyone involved.

Having studied abroad in Canada, I came to truly appreciate how wonderful the country is. Inspired by that experience, I hope to create opportunities for you to discover the unique attractions of Japan as well.

Thank you, and I look forward to welcoming you.

Ryota Muroyama -Assistant Project Leader of 2026 LINK

Hello everyone! My name is Ryota Muroyama, the vice representative of LINK. I have communicated with people from many different countries through LINK activities. International exchange is a great opportunity to challenge our stereotypes and learn new perspectives. Through my involvement in LINK, I hope to contribute to a society where people of diverse nationalities respect and appreciate each other’s cultures and values. I look forward to meeting and interacting with all of you.

Kota Chiba -Assistant Project Leader of 2026 LINK

Nice to meet you all! I’m Kota Chiba, the deputy representative.
Our organization aims to connect Keio and Canadian university students through meaningful cultural and academic exchange.
Although I had no connection to Canada before college, discovering LINK led me to become involved in the program. Building friendships across countries through LINK has been one of my most valuable experiences.
We hope LINK can be a place where students inspire each other and form lifelong friendships.
We are always happy to welcome families interested in our homestay program!
